Bill McFadden presents Todd Wong's
 A Chinese/Scottish Cross-Cultural Celebration

Gung Haggis Fat Choy 8
A Celebration of the 255th Birthday of Robert Burns
and Chinese New Year 2014 - "The Year of the Horse"

This is your invitation to attend Gung Haggis Fat Choy™ 8.  This unique and very successful event is in its eighth year.  We are celebrating Chinese New Year 2014 - "Year of the Horse" and the 255th birthday of Robert Burns, the bard of Scotland.  As producer of Gung Haggis Fat Choy™ - Seattle, it is my hope that you can join us Sunday evening, for a cultural experience like no other.

This year we are again at China Harbor Restaurant, 2040 Westlake Ave. N. overlooking Lake Union, in Seattle.  As before, Mr. Todd Wong (creator of Gung Haggis Fat Choy™) of Vancouver, BC, will host an eight-course Chinese banquet, with haggis, of course.  Preceding dinner Mr. Toddish MacWong will recite Robert Burns' famous "Address to the Haggis" in his own inimitable style.

Each Gung Haggis Fat Choy™ - Seattle dinner is a fund raiser for Chinese and Scottish youth music, dance, and martial arts scholarship programs.  This year our recipient is the Northwest Junior Pipe Band to support their return in 2015 for the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.  We will hold two opportunities to donate to this worthy endeavor.  First will be a "pass the drum" and the second is a dessert auction.  Please donate as you feel comfortable and thank you for supporting the Northwest Junior Pipe Band.

While the program for Gung Haggis Fat Choy™ varies from year to year, we try to keep a balance between Scottish and Chinese entertainment with a full evening of cultural variety.  Entertainers from Canada and New Mexico, as well as local and not-so-local talent will be performing.  As is customary, the program opens with the Chinese Lion Dance Troupe from Northwest Kung Fu and Fitness directed by Sifu David Leong.

Ticket price is still only $35.00 per person.  Seating is limited to 25 tables (250 seats)  Early reservations and tables of 10 will receive preferred seating, as available.
